Preciso chocolate - Week 1

1 week in the CTM!!! (after 1 online)

I honestly don't quite know where to start haha buuuutttt it's been awesome!

- My district is just 4 American girls and let's just say sometimes (a lot of the times) we look like the clueless dumb Americans.

- For about 3 days we had the wrong schedule, and every time we asked somebody about it, they would tell us they'd get us the right one, and then just never did haha. Sooo basically for the first 3 days we were never in the right place at the right time. One morning our schedule told us we had exercise time, so we changed into our exercise clothes, and went down to the track to start running, and right before we started to run one of our teachers came up and asked us what we were doing, then she told us that we were actually supposed to be in class - woopsies. Our schedule is now figured out haha but we still very often look like the dumb Americans.

- Another highlight from the week was in one of our workshops with just my district. Irmao Paes (one of the happiest humans ever) was talking to us about uplifting music choices, then just starts belting out singing Miley Cyrus, and not just a quick line, he keeps going for like 30 seconds - just a full grown Brazilian man singing at the top of his lungs - one of the funniest moments

- We got to go to the São Paulo temple on Wednesday which was awesome and so so pretty!

- On Thursday we went to the police station to finalize our visas. We met up with another sister there who was in the field. And while we were talking, she told us that as part of our program at the CTM, we don't get grammar lessons. My district was like whatttt, and she responded with "babies don't get grammar lessons" . So yep, no grammar lessons for these babies, learn by fire I guess.

- My district all loves chocolate (and chocolate ice cream) almost as much as I do, so whenever we need a pick-me-up we just say "preciso chocolate" and everyone knows that we need to make a stop to the vending machines for chocolate. (it honestly happens like 7 times a day) It makes our day so much better :)

- I asked my instructor, Irmao Zarza what his best advice was for a mission, and he told me "just go and do" like Nephi. And it reminded me of a talk I read last week from Elder Josph B. Wirthlin and he said "come what may and love it". So yep, we've just been going and doing everything and trying to love it all and it's been awesome

love you love you :)
