Who let me blink?

My mission has meant everything and a little bit more for me. It's impossible to put it into words. So maybe instead of a highlight reel for the last email, I'm just gonna tell you some things I'm grateful for. Things I'm grateful for: - my incredible companions: Sister Harden, Sister Sousa, Sister Elescano, Sister Vergara, Sister Cassiano, Sister Garcia, Sister Campos, Sister Dintof, Sister Freitas - the areas of the Bahia that have taught me so so much (including survival skills): Parque da Cidade, Lessa, Lauro de Freitas, Brotas, Nova Vitoria, Dias Davila! (Also being able to serve and represent my Salvador in Salvador! a terra prometida!) - my amazing mission president and his wife - allllll the people I've taught, but actually have taught me far more than I could have taught them - the Bahian members who treat us like queens, even though they have wrecked my eating habits - the malucos (maybe, not really) - being able to work at the temple open house and watch ...

Rollercoasteres

It's a rollercoaster of a time here in the Bahia. Every imaginable emotion I have felt this week. But here we go for the penúltimo round of highlights!! - I absolutely love teaching youth! Thank you for all the prayers for Kaique! We had an awesome lesson with him about Alma 32 and he accepted a baptismal date! And it was so incredible! The next day we went to talk to his mom to get her signature (bc he's 17). Let's just say coração de batata. The woman didn't even let us pray with her, let alone let her son get baptized. I've only ever cried in front of investigators 2x, both bc of parents who have corações de batatas. - I am officially becoming my worst nightmare: Bahians who get cold when it rains when it's 80°. It rained a whole lot this week and I just really wanted to put on a sweatshirt.
