Tudo Vai da Certo

This week was goooood! I finally started to feel comfortable in this area. I recognize people on the street, people recognize me in the street, I know more or less how to get around, and feel like I'm part of a community. And now I think my testimony of God's sense of humor is growing because Saturday we got transfer news, and I'm headed to Lessa!! It's an area in the northern more interior part of my mission. So sadly tchau tchau beach and waves and the people in parque da Cidade I've grown to love.

I'm saying goodbye to my comp too, Sister Sousa, who was bomb diggity (despite the fact that she wanted to save the spiders we found in our house, but I said "ummm no, not on my watch". They were quickly killed). But my new comp is a cute Peruvian, Sister Elescano!

highlights:)
- We had a family home evening with a few members and an investigator. We watched a video about the temple and talked about how we have the incredible opportunity to have eternal families. The night was so special, and the spirit was so strong. And it ended with cake, so double win.

- In English class this week I taught them an animal for all the letters in the alphabet. Very practical, right? But basically I taught them yak, hippopotamus, and Unicorn. And I hope beyond hope that they find an opportunity to use these words.

- We also housed the Sisters going home this week for 5 days. Which meant festas every night!! They imparted a lot of wisdom on us and left me feeling both "holy crap I still have 15 months left" and "holy crap I only have 15 months left" somehow at the same time. (And somehow after only knowing them for 5 days, the notes they left behind for us made both Sister Sousa and I cry - idk what to make of that).

- While trying to find some kids we were teaching, a man at a bar called us over. We had one of the funniest conversations. Basically it ended in him holding a temple pamphlet in one hand and a cigarette in another. But sadly he's moving to São Paulo, so hopefully my friends down there find him.

- my spiritual thought for the week is 1 Nephi 3:7, a classic. Basically, when we trust in God and follow His will and His commandments, He will provide a way. In Portuguese we say "tudo vai da certo" - it's all gonna be alright.

life is good :)
love you all
