I don't think that's what it's supposed to look like

I think I jinxed myself last week thinking it was a little slow because this week was nothing short of psycho.

HIGHLIGHTS
- About 10 minutes after I sent my last email, I was playing futebol and hurt my ankle. Like heard a scary popping noise, hurt to walk, swelled ankle bad. We decided to wait until the next night to go to the clinic, but after telling the president's wife, she told us that we had to go to the hospital in Salvador the next morning. So we made the 2.5 hour trek of buses and ubers to the hospital in Salvador. Got some x-rays. And it's just sprained (thank the high heavens).

They then gave me a brace and told me not to walk more than 10 minutes. Ummmm that's not really an option lol. I took the brace, but not the advice. And I've looked like an absolute idiot with the brace, but just be glad than I politely declined my bishop giving me a cane. And I've actually really seen God's hand throughout the week - although my ankle is still swollen and purple, it hasn't hurt while we've been working.

- In the wildness of the same day, we lost our keys. Somewhere between here and Salvador. We didn't realize this until we were the last ones in the chapel that night, and the bishop locked us in. We were stuck there until about 10:30 pm when the bishop came back. And locked out of our house until about 11:15 pm when the other sisters got back from Salvador.

- Yesterday our investigator was sleeping when we showed up to take him to church. We just sat throwing pillows at him for 5 minutes until he decided to get up - definitely a highlight.

- We had a tarde familiar (fhe) with some of the members in Mata on Saturday and brought one of our investigators, and it was so so good. One of those moments of 'I never want to leave this place'

- We also had a Mission Tour this week! Which is basically just zone conference but with a member of the 70. So Elder and Sister Valenzuela of the 70 visited us! It was so so awesome! They talked about a 'sense of urgency'. And compared the rate that President Nelson is building temples (very fast and very high quality) to how we need to be working. And if a 99 hear old man (also happy bday pres nelson) is working hard and fast, we can do the same.

- Elder Valenzuela also decided to interview 8 missionaries in the entire mission while he was here and somehow I got picked. I walked into the interview and immediately could feel the overwhelming spirit. We talked for 20 minutes and he told me some things that were just what I needed to hear. These leaders are really called of God. They are so inspired.

- And today is our first zone pday!! Woot woot! So, sorry if I don't respond today, but I've got a churrasco to eat :)

life is good :)
love you all
