"Ela falou comigo!!"

oiii folks! How's life? How's pioneer day? Give me all the deets

highlights :)

- I learned this week that in the city park that our area is named after, the old ladies play botte ball for money. Apparently its quite intense.

- Friday was my comp's bday!! We celebrated with açai, burger king, and a surprise party with cake with the help of the youth from our ward.

- I showed the young women in the stake how to find their knee reflex and they thought I was magic

- Had some good lessons this week with Italo, Duda, the men that play soccer at our ward building, and some others! Keep the prayers coming

- On Friday this week, we woke up early to go to the high school (never thought I would be saying that on the mish) to tell all the kids about our English course we're teaching. While we were waiting to talk with the principal, a bunch of kids were walking by and a boy gives me an "oi". I say "oi" back, and he turns to his buddy, grabs him by the shoulders, starts shaking him back and forth, and says "ela falou comigo! Ela falou comigo!" (She spoke to me! She spoke to me!). And then another kid came up to me with his phone camera ready asking if I was in movies. I have never felt more white.

- I played the piano in ward conference this past Sunday for the youth musical number. I played the primary song 'the miracle'. The song is incredible, and you should all go listen to it. But the takeaway is that Christ's Atonement is a miracle and He is always with us.

- My spiritual thought for the week is from sister martins (the president's wife). Here's nerd medical syd coming out. Basically, life is like the heart thing someone gets hooked up to at the hospital. The line that goes up and down, measuring your heart rate and other stuff. When we're alive, the line goes up and down, but when we die, it goes flat. Basically, we need the ups and downs to be alive. If we didn't have the ups and downs, and life were easy, the line would be flat, and we would be dead. We need the ups and downs so we can learn to rely on Christ's Atonement. That is Heavenly Father's plan for us, and it is perfect.

life is good :)
love you all
