Futeblo para sempre

 some updates from bahia:)

- I will never ever ever be taking a hot shower ever again. Like ever.

- The chaco tanline is coming along nicely. I think it will be a permanent tatoo by the time I get home.

- I tried acarajé and paçoca this week which were both bomb diggity. Couldn't tell you exactly what was in them, but I don't need to know that right?

- my bishop told me I looked like a viking and needed an axe to carry around

-  HIGHLIGHTS OF HIGHLIGHTS!!!  I GOT TO PLAY SOCCER!!!! Because our area is a wee bit danger town at night, we head back to the chapel every night at 6pm. The youth in the stake are there every night to play basketball, volleyball, and soccer... and so I got to play a lot this week. And although the 11 year old boys give me a run for my money, the members are quite impressed that not only a gringo, but a gringo girl can hold her own.

- We have been fasting a lot in this area, and this week we saw some miracles from it. We finished one if our fasts last Wednesday, and immediately after we finished we got a message from one of our investigators, Angela. She's been interested in the church for a few years and both of her children are members. The only thing that has kept her from getting baptized is that she isn't married to her boyfriend who she's been with for 30 years. But we got a message from her saying that she's ready to get married so she can get baptized!! (And many more miracles)

-  Yesterday, in my broken Portuguese I shared a message on 4th Nephi 1:15-17 with a family. It talks about how the people were all unified because they had the love of God with them, and their biggest identifier was that they were all children of God. And because of this they were soooo happy. It was a good reminder that we are all God's children and our job is to love. Even if we have different goals, cultures, or languages.

life is good :)
love you all
