highlights!!
- constantly asking president to go places we're not allowed to, and him always letting us 
- Had my first person spit at me this week! Milestone for sure.
- pictured below would be us eating cake during our meeting on health :)
- also pictured below, I found my long lost little brother (sorry Charlie)
- and finally you will also see our carro pequeno driver getting his priorities straight, trying to watch a soccer match and drive us to Mata at the same time.
- We've had some really good lessons this week with media references! (*cough cough nudge nudge maren*) (apparently our mish is quite bad at that)
- Sister Bueno gets mad at me when I call her a "porcaria" or tell her to "cala boca". But then I tell her that it's her own fault because she's the one who taught me these words.

- We met this couple (Franklin and Taiana) last week in the carro pequeno. The husband is a long time inactive member and the wife isn't a member. Somehow we finagled our way into eating lunch with them and watching conference in their house. So here we are eating brigadeiros, all watching conference, and Elder Godoy starts to tell a story (you should go listen to it). And it was basically the same story that we had experienced with Franklin and Taiana. Afterwards we just bore testimony that there really are no coincidences. We met them in the car for a reason, and it's time to come back. So so good.

- As a true Brasileira now, how can I not share about Elder Soares's talk in general conference. He talked about how the Nephites were the happiest when they had no "ites". Everybody solely identified as a child of God. Because that is our most important identifier. The identifier filled with the most love. The identifier that will bring us the most joy. 4 Nephi 1:16 "And surely there could not be a happier people".

Welcome to Bahia

  highlights!!! - last p-day I was talking with an elder in my mission in our chapel who is from Brazil. We were just chatting when we hear gunshots outside. He then goes "welcome to Bahia". The members told me that when I see a person with a gun, i just say "arma bonita" (beautiful gun) and keep walking, so yep, here we go - one day when we were out tracking we were hungry so we got some açai from this cute little store. Lets just say we got the owner and his family's phone number so hopefully we can teach them and get free açai hehe - we take basically the same road everyday into the main neighborhood of our area. And one day on this road, we saw a cute little old lady out on her porch with some grandkids. We went up and started talking to her, and she was soooo sweet. She even gave us popsicles. We got her number and told her we would come back the next day. So we come back the next day, same thing, super sweet and free popsicles. We pass by again on our way ...

Job's Not Finished

Job's finished? Job's not finished.  We're working até o pozinho and got some serious miracles cooking for the next few weeks.  - Kaike! Pray for Kaike! - Ariane! Pray for Ariane!  - had my last zone conference and had to give my last testimony to the mission! Very bittersweet! - President took everyone who is finishing their mission this transfer to a Bahia soccer game, which included but was not limited to VIP tickets, unlimited free food, and watching president cheer silently for the opposing team. That's all I got for now, but as for a spiritual thought: I've been thinking a lot recently about one of the Savior's encounters with the Apostles after His resurrection. He found them fishing and asked Peter 3 times if he loved Him more than he loved the fish. John 21:17 "He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me?   HOLY CRAP SHE'S ACTUALLY IN SALVADOR This week has been craaazzzyyy, let me tell ya. I'm currently living in an apartment with 5 sisters, and we have 1 phone, so not too much time, but I'll tell you the good stuff - HIGHLIGHTSSSSS So the church really just decided to throw a curve ball and change it all up over here. 1) new preach my gospel - updated on our literal last day at the ctm, so we've got to learn it all again. 2) the day I arrived in my mission, I learned that it is no longer Salvador south, but now just Salvador. Ill send a pic of the new boundaries, but just know that it changed a lot, like a lot. Which means that the past 4 days have been crazy with missionaries getting reassigned and all. However, this means that the Salvador temple which should be done in about a year will be in my mission which is exciting!! My area!!! I'm currently serving in Parque da Cidade! Its an area right in the city on the coast and the chapel is right on the beach hehe. I...
