REVOLUÇÃO
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! (I am indeed making a pie today grammy, you should be proud ;)
highlights!
- taught my comp quite possibly the most important word in English: "field trip!" (More updates on that next week)
- ate chicken foot for the first time
- one morning, during my morning routine, I grabbed some couscous and eggs to eat, and while eating I had the weirdest sensation of "what the heck am I doing? eating couscous and eggs like it's normal?" I guess I'm becoming more Bahian than I thought.
- we came home from a really hard day, and Sister Bueno had homemade CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES waiting for us. I just about cried.
- Had a fun time starting a noite de integração with the ward! The ward is getting to know my competitive side more and more (idk if that's a good thing or not)
- The work in Dias D'Ávila and Mata is going so good! We were able to put 4 of our friends on date this week! They've all got their obstacles, but with prayers it will all work out! It's been so awesome to see these people progress and have the desire to learn more and come to church!
- spiritual thought! Mosiah 7:33 "But if ye will turn to the Lord with full purpose of heart, and put your trust in him, and serve him with all diligence of mind, if ye do this, he will, according to his own will and pleasure, deliver you out of bondage." I shared this scripture with an investigator this week and asked him what bondage meant. He answered with "what I'm passing through right now is bondage." I was able to bear my testimony to him that through trusting Christ, His mission, His Atonement, and His gospel with all of our heart, we can be freed from our bondage. As we learn to rely on Jesus and follow the promptings of the Holy Ghost, He will deliver us. (cue the prince of egypt music). Every single time.
life is good :)
love you all
