This week had so many miracles that there were too many possible titles for this email, so buckle up


highlights
- on Wednesday this week it absolutely poured, like dumped dogs and cats after lunch. Us sisteres left lunch, had exactly 1 umbrella for the 4 of us, and said "screw it, yolo" (in português of course). And had the most live in the moment memory getting absolutely drenched, dancing and singing and jumping in the puddles as the roads turned into absolute rivers while we walked to our appointments.

- on another note BEYONCE WAS LITERALLY HERE. LIKE IN SALVADOR BAHIA. like I was probably the closest I've ever been to her in my entire life. Like we were freaking out. Like the bahia was freaking out.

- on a more spiritual note, here's 2 cool stories from the week because we had some amazing miracles :)

- 1. Josiane. Josiane was invited a few weeks ago by her member friend that lives in ITALY to go to our church. So out of nowhere on a Sunday morning, she walked to church with her son, and since then has received her own testimony that the church is true. (Look at that people, you can do missionary work halfway around the freaking globe, your efforts are not in vain)

- 2. Lucas. Lucas is the brother of Leila (a member) that we met this week. We had a super awesome lesson with him and Leila's family and invited him to church. He's been living with his sister for 9 months, but has never been to church. He gave us an excuse and told us that he would probably not be able to make it. Later that day out of the blue, Leila asked us to pick up some medicine from Lucas and deliver it to her mom. We marched back over to their house, picked up the medicine, and took the opportunity to invite Lucas 1 more time to church. Got a "we'll see". Sunday morning comes around and 3 minutes before church starts we got a text from Leila saying that Lucas was coming to church! Later Leila told us that due to some medicine he takes he usually sleeps in super late. But Sunday morning out of nowhere he woke up early, and was super touched with our invitation to come to church, so he came. 

- and sorry this email is so long now, but this week was FULL of CHRISTMAS MILAGRES!! I am so grateful for a God of Milagres and for the milagre of the birth of Christ!!

"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." Isaías 9:6

Welcome to Bahia

  highlights!!! - last p-day I was talking with an elder in my mission in our chapel who is from Brazil. We were just chatting when we hear gunshots outside. He then goes "welcome to Bahia". The members told me that when I see a person with a gun, i just say "arma bonita" (beautiful gun) and keep walking, so yep, here we go - one day when we were out tracking we were hungry so we got some açai from this cute little store. Lets just say we got the owner and his family's phone number so hopefully we can teach them and get free açai hehe - we take basically the same road everyday into the main neighborhood of our area. And one day on this road, we saw a cute little old lady out on her porch with some grandkids. We went up and started talking to her, and she was soooo sweet. She even gave us popsicles. We got her number and told her we would come back the next day. So we come back the next day, same thing, super sweet and free popsicles. We pass by again on our way ...

Job's Not Finished

Job's finished? Job's not finished.  We're working até o pozinho and got some serious miracles cooking for the next few weeks.  - Kaike! Pray for Kaike! - Ariane! Pray for Ariane!  - had my last zone conference and had to give my last testimony to the mission! Very bittersweet! - President took everyone who is finishing their mission this transfer to a Bahia soccer game, which included but was not limited to VIP tickets, unlimited free food, and watching president cheer silently for the opposing team. That's all I got for now, but as for a spiritual thought: I've been thinking a lot recently about one of the Savior's encounters with the Apostles after His resurrection. He found them fishing and asked Peter 3 times if he loved Him more than he loved the fish. John 21:17 "He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Smile and Wave

  HOLY CRAP SHE'S ACTUALLY IN SALVADOR This week has been craaazzzyyy, let me tell ya. I'm currently living in an apartment with 5 sisters, and we have 1 phone, so not too much time, but I'll tell you the good stuff - HIGHLIGHTSSSSS So the church really just decided to throw a curve ball and change it all up over here. 1) new preach my gospel - updated on our literal last day at the ctm, so we've got to learn it all again. 2) the day I arrived in my mission, I learned that it is no longer Salvador south, but now just Salvador. Ill send a pic of the new boundaries, but just know that it changed a lot, like a lot. Which means that the past 4 days have been crazy with missionaries getting reassigned and all. However, this means that the Salvador temple which should be done in about a year will be in my mission which is exciting!! My area!!! I'm currently serving in Parque da Cidade! Its an area right in the city on the coast and the chapel is right on the beach hehe. I...
