Bring back the city girl

BOM DIA

It has been a hot minute, but we've been partying it up these past 3 weeks!! Here's a lil run down (in somewhat chronological order)

Highlights!!
- played soccer with Pedro and all his friends and at the end Vinícius said "you guys lost to 2 pobres sisteres, 1 velhinho, e 1 cega!" (2 poor sisters, 1 old guy, and a blind lady)

- We got açai at our favorite place as least 4x a week

- we made spicy ramen at Irmã Luci's house. Like so spicy that I was literally crying.

- we got lost in a neighborhood called "the volcanoes mouth" (you can just imagine) when it was late and very dark.

- got McDonalds with president!!

- watched general conference!! So so good and it just made me so much more excited (if that's even possible) for the temple to open here in Salvador! (Hopefully I have updates on that soon)

- and sadly said goodbye to my cute guatemaltecan sister Garcia and..... I got transferred to Brotas with Sister Campos (from São Paulo)! Brotas sits right in Salvador and I've heard that it's very much like my first area: favelas, music, hills, poop that you hope is from a dog, and sounds that you hope are fireworks. Here we go baby

- had a multi-zone pday!!

- turned 20?!

- we have seen so many miracles in the work here in Brotas in the first week! Our first day here the RS president took us out on visits to go meet the members?! Like that never happens. And then members actually gave us references?! Like what?! Anywhosure, we are so excited for this transfer here!!

- Just for a lil spiritual note, I finished reading the BoM recently and right when I finished it I felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude and love that I have for that book. It has gotten me through many many hard times on the mish. My comps know that my personal study time to read the BoM is sacred. No one messes with it. And reading the Book of Mormon everyday helps me find peace and comfort. I know that it really is the word of God! And that it has the power to change lives! So go read a few verses my loves

life is good:)
love you all
