A Good Cause
Hello my loves!!
Highlights:
- When we showed up to Larissa's house, she opened up her Book of Mormon to 3 Nefi 11 and it was all marked up, full of underlines, hearts, question marks, and stars. Happiness is seeing people love the Book of Mormon.
- Had Gabriel's baptism last Sunday!!
- Then this Sunday we ate the cake of the baptism that fell through as we planned our week. Ups and downs for sure.
- got rained on so hard and of course we forgot our umbrellas. But just mais chuva na plaqueta, né. Also my comp used a sweater because she thought it was cold and now I will never let her live it down.
- had to hide in our investigators house while he killed a massive rat that was blocking the way out
- and my comp and I received the news that we're staying in Brotas for 6 more weeks!! Woot woot!! We are so pumped to see all the miracles God has waiting for us!
D&C 58:27-28
"Verily I say, men should be anxiously engaged in a good cause, and do many things of their own free will, and bring to pass much righteousness;
For the power is in them, wherefore they are agents unto themselves. And inasmuch as men do good they shall in nowise lose their reward."
Not gonna lie I've been feeling the repetitiveness of the mission. Doing the literal same thing every single day. And it doesn't help that my area is so isolated. It's been hard. But I really do love the mission. I love the people. I love the experiences. And I wouldn't change it for the world. So here's to just doing our best and losing ourselves "in a good cause" in loving and inviting others to come unto Christ.
life is good :)
love you all
sister max
