Nova Vitoria :)

Hellooooo my loves! Welcome back to another recap of life in the bahia!!

Highlights!!

- Larissa's baptism!! We went to her house last Wednesday to do a drop lesson, and right when we walked in her house she said "I want you guys to meet my brother and help him so he can be baptized with me." Sister Campos and I were in shock. She called her brother and taught him basically everything over facetime in 20 minutes. We marked her baptism for Saturday, and after some ups and downs and açai, she was baptized! Sister Campos gave her an old missionary tag and she wore it the whole night!

- Did a split with my girl Sister Vargas! We've been asking for that companionship for a year now and finally got 24 hours.

- transfers!!! Said goodbye to brotas! Tchau tchau city life. I'm headed back to the interior where life is slower and horses are used as common transportation. Here we go Nova Vitoria!

- aaaand my new comp is cute Sister Dintof! She's from São Paulo, but has a Russian last name, and looks American. And everyone thinks we're sisters.

- our first week here was full of cleaning the house, getting lost, and cleaning the house again (it was podre).

- This week I read 3 Nephi 11 in my personal studies and I know it's a missionary classic, but I just loooove this chapter. I love to imagine myself if I were there. With all the Nephites. Seeing the promised Son of God. Talking with Him. Hugging him. Touching the marks in His hands and feet. And just how it would be.

3 Nephi 11:15
"And it came to pass that the multitude went forth, and thrust their hands into his side, and did feel the prints of the nails in his hands and in his feet; and this they did do, going forth one by one until they had all gone forth, and did see with their eyes and did feel with their hands, and did know of a surety and did bear record, that it was he, of whom it was written by the prophets, that should come."

We may not be able to see Him physically, but we can gain the same testimony and personal relationship with Him everyday through all the small and simple things.

life is good:)
love you all
sister max
