GENTE! THE TEMPLE OPENS UP NEXT WEEK!!! and we also got news that after the mission tour with Elder Soares, he's gonna come to our ward here in Camaçari the next Sunday. So by the end of the month, we'll basically be besties.

welcome back to another set up highlights na Bahia!!

- as we were walking to pick up an investigator for church, a man was weirdly staring at us (like more than usual)
man: Mormons, come here
us: oh no
man: my wife and daughter want to be a part of your church, how can they?
us: *jaws on the floor*
we joke about this stuff happening, but it for realzies is real.

- we got to our investigator's house ready to teach about the law of chastity, and got there right as a girl was leaving suspiciously. Later we learned that she broke up with him because she thought he was cheating on her with not 1, but 2 girls.

- a drunk inactive member tried to remember the word sister, but instead called us ˆsisney viajantesˆ.

- We are teaching some of the best people with the strongest desires to come unto Christ, but most of which are youth, so pray that their parents will let them be baptized!!

- also transfers are today, and we are STAYING!!We are pumped to see all the miracles that God has waiting for the people in new victory.

- also fyi, if you have emailed me, and I haven't responded, I'm sorry. My email is kinda broken, and I haven't been able to send or receive emails. I still love you, but you might just have to wait until December at this point.

guys let me just say that I love the mission. There's one of the church's youth songs that talks about bringing others to Christ and says "what is this joy". And it's just so true. The joy is unreal. It's incredible to just do the Lord's work. Get completely lost in it. I've never known my Savior better, and I've never felt this deep joy before.

Alma 26:11 "But Ammon said unto him: I do not boast in my own strength, nor in my own wisdom; but behold, my joy is full, yea, my heart is brim with joy, and I will rejoice in my God."

  highlights!!! - last p-day I was talking with an elder in my mission in our chapel who is from Brazil. We were just chatting when we hear gunshots outside. He then goes "welcome to Bahia". The members told me that when I see a person with a gun, i just say "arma bonita" (beautiful gun) and keep walking, so yep, here we go - one day when we were out tracking we were hungry so we got some açai from this cute little store. Lets just say we got the owner and his family's phone number so hopefully we can teach them and get free açai hehe - we take basically the same road everyday into the main neighborhood of our area. And one day on this road, we saw a cute little old lady out on her porch with some grandkids. We went up and started talking to her, and she was soooo sweet. She even gave us popsicles. We got her number and told her we would come back the next day. So we come back the next day, same thing, super sweet and free popsicles. We pass by again on our way ...

Job's Not Finished

Job's finished? Job's not finished.  We're working até o pozinho and got some serious miracles cooking for the next few weeks.  - Kaike! Pray for Kaike! - Ariane! Pray for Ariane!  - had my last zone conference and had to give my last testimony to the mission! Very bittersweet! - President took everyone who is finishing their mission this transfer to a Bahia soccer game, which included but was not limited to VIP tickets, unlimited free food, and watching president cheer silently for the opposing team. That's all I got for now, but as for a spiritual thought: I've been thinking a lot recently about one of the Savior's encounters with the Apostles after His resurrection.   HOLY CRAP SHE'S ACTUALLY IN SALVADOR This week has been craaazzzyyy, let me tell ya. I'm currently living in an apartment with 5 sisters, and we have 1 phone, so not too much time, but I'll tell you the good stuff - HIGHLIGHTSSSSS So the church really just decided to throw a curve ball and change it all up over here. 1) new preach my gospel - updated on our literal last day at the ctm, so we've got to learn it all again. 2) the day I arrived in my mission, I learned that it is no longer Salvador south, but now just Salvador. Ill send a pic of the new boundaries, but just know that it changed a lot, like a lot. Which means that the past 4 days have been crazy with missionaries getting reassigned and all. However, this means that the Salvador temple which should be done in about a year will be in my mission which is exciting!! My area!!! I'm currently serving in Parque da Cidade! Its an area right in the city on the coast and the chapel is right on the beach hehe. I...
