Another Week Another Blessing

highlights of the blessed week!

- while we were fasting, our investigator texted us saying he wanted to do a fast to see if he needed to be baptized. So we quickly ended our one fast, downed a pizza, then started another fast with him. God really do be carrying us.

- We did some filming for the misson media!

- Our lunch on Sunday was with the irmao that owns an acai shop. At the end, he gave us 2 ice cream scoopers, 2 large bowls and told us to go to town. Dream come true.

- On Sunday we had so many random investigators come who we weren't even teaching, but now we are!  Also 3 of the baba guri came to church!

- Gave a talk on Sunday which actually turned out pretty good!

Helaman 8:14-15

"Yea did he not bear record that the Son of God should come? And as he lifted up the brazen serpent in the wilderness, even so should he be lifted up who should come. And as many as should look upon that serpent should live, even so as many as should look upon the Son of God with faith, having a contrite spirit, might live, even unto that life which is eternal."

I love the symbolism of Moses's bronze serpent! As many who looked upon it were cured and lived! As many who look upon Jesus Christ with faith will also be cured spiritually, physically, emotionally, etc, and will live! Will live a happier mortal life, and a more joyful eternity!

Welcome to Bahia

  highlights!!! - last p-day I was talking with an elder in my mission in our chapel who is from Brazil. We were just chatting when we hear gunshots outside. He then goes "welcome to Bahia". The members told me that when I see a person with a gun, i just say "arma bonita" (beautiful gun) and keep walking, so yep, here we go - one day when we were out tracking we were hungry so we got some açai from this cute little store. Lets just say we got the owner and his family's phone number so hopefully we can teach them and get free açai hehe - we take basically the same road everyday into the main neighborhood of our area. And one day on this road, we saw a cute little old lady out on her porch with some grandkids. We went up and started talking to her, and she was soooo sweet. She even gave us popsicles. We got her number and told her we would come back the next day. So we come back the next day, same thing, super sweet and free popsicles. We pass by again on our way ...

Job's Not Finished

Job's finished? Job's not finished.  We're working até o pozinho and got some serious miracles cooking for the next few weeks.  - Kaike! Pray for Kaike! - Ariane! Pray for Ariane!  - had my last zone conference and had to give my last testimony to the mission! Very bittersweet! - President took everyone who is finishing their mission this transfer to a Bahia soccer game, which included but was not limited to VIP tickets, unlimited free food, and watching president cheer silently for the opposing team. That's all I got for now, but as for a spiritual thought: I've been thinking a lot recently about one of the Savior's encounters with the Apostles after His resurrection. Smile and Wave

  HOLY CRAP SHE'S ACTUALLY IN SALVADOR This week has been craaazzzyyy, let me tell ya. I'm currently living in an apartment with 5 sisters, and we have 1 phone, so not too much time, but I'll tell you the good stuff - HIGHLIGHTSSSSS So the church really just decided to throw a curve ball and change it all up over here. 1) new preach my gospel - updated on our literal last day at the ctm, so we've got to learn it all again. 2) the day I arrived in my mission, I learned that it is no longer Salvador south, but now just Salvador. Ill send a pic of the new boundaries, but just know that it changed a lot, like a lot. Which means that the past 4 days have been crazy with missionaries getting reassigned and all. However, this means that the Salvador temple which should be done in about a year will be in my mission which is exciting!! My area!!! I'm currently serving in Parque da Cidade! Its an area right in the city on the coast and the chapel is right on the beach hehe. I...
