Who let me blink?

My mission has meant everything and a little bit more for me. It's impossible to put it into words. So maybe instead of a highlight reel for the last email, I'm just gonna tell you some things I'm grateful for.

Things I'm grateful for:

- my incredible companions: Sister Harden, Sister Sousa, Sister Elescano, Sister Vergara, Sister Cassiano, Sister Garcia, Sister Campos, Sister Dintof, Sister Freitas

- the areas of the Bahia that have taught me so so much (including survival skills): Parque da Cidade, Lessa, Lauro de Freitas, Brotas, Nova Vitoria, Dias Davila! (Also being able to serve and represent my Salvador in Salvador! a terra prometida!)

- my amazing mission president and his wife

- allllll the people I've taught, but actually have taught me far more than I could have taught them

- the Bahian members who treat us like queens, even though they have wrecked my eating habits

- the malucos (maybe, not really)

- being able to work at the temple open house and watch people change after a 10 minute tour!

- ALL OF THE MILAGRES!! Some of which include: the people who were touched and were able to grow a closer relationship with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, how much my own testimony and love for the Savior has grown, all of the experiences that have helped me know Him, and learn to rely on Him!

- and all of you guys who have supported me and prayed for me! I love you guys so so much and have felt the power of your support through angels here bearing me up and carrying me.

On Sunday, I'll have my homecoming!! I forgot the time of my homeward.... foi mal, but, you can ask my mom!

I know Jesus Cristo lives! His Atonement saves us, changes us, and give us strength daily. The Book of Mormon is the most correct book on the earth! Missionary work is the most joyful thing ever, and serving a mission is the best decision I have ever made.

I can't believe I blinked.

Welcome to Bahia

  highlights!!! - last p-day I was talking with an elder in my mission in our chapel who is from Brazil. We were just chatting when we hear gunshots outside. He then goes "welcome to Bahia". The members told me that when I see a person with a gun, i just say "arma bonita" (beautiful gun) and keep walking, so yep, here we go - one day when we were out tracking we were hungry so we got some açai from this cute little store. Lets just say we got the owner and his family's phone number so hopefully we can teach them and get free açai hehe - we take basically the same road everyday into the main neighborhood of our area. And one day on this road, we saw a cute little old lady out on her porch with some grandkids. We went up and started talking to her, and she was soooo sweet. She even gave us popsicles. We got her number and told her we would come back the next day. So we come back the next day, same thing, super sweet and free popsicles. We pass by again on our way ...

Job's Not Finished

Job's finished? Job's not finished.  We're working até o pozinho and got some serious miracles cooking for the next few weeks.  - Kaike! Pray for Kaike! - Ariane! Pray for Ariane!  - had my last zone conference and had to give my last testimony to the mission! Very bittersweet! - President took everyone who is finishing their mission this transfer to a Bahia soccer game, which included but was not limited to VIP tickets, unlimited free food, and watching president cheer silently for the opposing team. That's all I got for now, but as for a spiritual thought: I've been thinking a lot recently about one of the Savior's encounters with the Apostles after His resurrection. Smile and Wave

  HOLY CRAP SHE'S ACTUALLY IN SALVADOR This week has been craaazzzyyy, let me tell ya. I'm currently living in an apartment with 5 sisters, and we have 1 phone, so not too much time, but I'll tell you the good stuff - HIGHLIGHTSSSSS So the church really just decided to throw a curve ball and change it all up over here. 1) new preach my gospel - updated on our literal last day at the ctm, so we've got to learn it all again. 2) the day I arrived in my mission, I learned that it is no longer Salvador south, but now just Salvador. Ill send a pic of the new boundaries, but just know that it changed a lot, like a lot. Which means that the past 4 days have been crazy with missionaries getting reassigned and all. However, this means that the Salvador temple which should be done in about a year will be in my mission which is exciting!! My area!!! I'm currently serving in Parque da Cidade! Its an area right in the city on the coast and the chapel is right on the beach hehe. I...
