Rollercoasteres
It's a rollercoaster of a time here in the Bahia. Every imaginable emotion I have felt this week. But here we go for the penúltimo round of highlights!!
- I absolutely love teaching youth! Thank you for all the prayers for Kaique! We had an awesome lesson with him about Alma 32 and he accepted a baptismal date! And it was so incredible! The next day we went to talk to his mom to get her signature (bc he's 17). Let's just say coração de batata. The woman didn't even let us pray with her, let alone let her son get baptized. I've only ever cried in front of investigators 2x, both bc of parents who have corações de batatas.
- I am officially becoming my worst nightmare: Bahians who get cold when it rains when it's 80°. It rained a whole lot this week and I just really wanted to put on a sweatshirt. Pray for my health when I head back to Utah winter next week.
- Celebrated Thanksgiving (kind of, not really) fofocando with our neighbors Gustavo and Sandy and eating hotdogs!
- Ariane was baptized!! She was baptized with her boyfriend Felipe! And their whole preparation this week was just full of miracles! But the best part was during the baptism (which was with the 2 wards together). The wards finally looked at how they can work together (and not wish bad one for another at least for a moment). And that was beautiful.
Philippians 4:7 "And the peace of god, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Jesus Cristo."
It's been an absolutely rollercoaster of a week. But, I have been blessed with the peace when I needed it. Peace that totally wasn't understandable because I was in situations totally unpeaceful. But because of Him, it's possible. It's real. And it comes slowly as we just follow Him.
life is good:)
love you all
